Information Point
Based on its investigative, reflective and mediating role, Het Nieuwe Instituut also acts as a knowledge channel and information point.
As a channel for knowledge, the institute connects parties with a special interest in the social potential of the design disciplines with appropriate partners and designers in the Netherlands. In addition, the institute is part of a growing network of experts and partners with added value in international knowledge exchange. As an information point, the Agency maintains contacts with all the crucial players – diplomatic missions, funding bodies, knowledge centres, companies and individual architects, designers and makers.

International Clinic
Developed in 2018 for Dutch designers wanting to work abroad, the International Clinic hosts monthly gatherings for professionals in the design, architecture and digital culture sectors to seek advice on positioning their practice internationally. The Agency collaborates in different ways with advisers from the Creative Industries Fund NL, DutchCulture and other institutions in the relevant fields. In collaboration with these partners, the Agency is developing an online portal with the regulations pertinent to the internationalisation of the design sector.
Covid-19
Due to the recent developments concerning Covid-19 and the associated restrictions on the organization of public events, the institute is closed until 1 June 2020. Het Nieuwe Instituut is continuing its programme of activities in digital form at live.hetnieuweinstituut.nl.
